Harvey V. Underwood Science Scholarship Endowment
The Harvey V. Underwood Science Scholarship was established in 2003 by Harvey’s family, friends, and colleagues. Harvey V. Underwood began teaching at Manchester High School in the 1960s. He was a challenging teacher whose love of biology and curiosity about life was infectious. Selection will be based on academic performance (especially in science), community involvement, citizenship, character, and a written statement.
- Manchester High School graduate (current year) or a previous year's scholarship recipient
- Full-time student pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree in life science, physical science, or science education from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Minimum accumulated GPA of 7.0 on an 11.0 scale or the equivalent
