The Community Foundation of Wabash County’s second workshop in our four-part 2026 Nonprofit Workshop Series will take place on Thursday, April 9, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at the Honeywell Center in Wabash. After launching the series in January with an organizational capacity assessment session, we now turn our focus to one of the most critical drivers of nonprofit success: strong governance.
This Practical Aspects of Board Governance workshop will be led by Dave Haist, who combines decades of nonprofit board leadership experience with a deep commitment to Wabash County. Dave will guide participants through practical, actionable conversations on board recruitment and onboarding, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and evaluating overall board effectiveness.
Healthy boards build healthy organizations, and healthy organizations build strong communities. Strengthening nonprofit capacity is a key priority in the Community Foundation’s strategic plan, and this workshop series is one of the ways we are investing directly in the long-term effectiveness and sustainability of our local nonprofits.
Registration is open now through April 3. Click here to register. Lunch will be provided!
Please forward this invitation to anyone else you believe may be interested – all are welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Sam McFadden, sam@cfwabash.org or call 260-982-4824.
