John J. Ebersole, Peacemaker Endowment
The John J. Ebersole, Peacemaker Endowment remembers John J. Ebersole, who devoted his life to further peace, and to promote acceptance, justice, and respect for all persons. The Endowment supports the ever-changing needs of Wabash County.
John Ebersole was a World War II Veteran, having attained the rank of Captain in the Army Air Corps, flying B-17 Flying Fortress bombers. When he returned home to Indiana, he was an executive with Central Soya, Fort Wayne, and retired in 1982. Following retirement, he volunteered with the Brethren Volunteer Service, and served at New Windsor, MD Service Center, Bethany Theological Seminary, International Executive Corps in Zimbabwe, Africa, Columbia, South America, and the World Friendship Center in Hiroshima, Japan.
