When Fred Squires retired, he was presented with a gift of money from his colleagues, which he used not for himself, but to establish a scholarship honoring his mother, Dorothy Squires, who taught English, journalism, and American history at Wabash and Northfield High Schools. This scholarship can be used for any field of study.
