Al Bailey Vocational Scholarship Endowment
For over 25 years, Al Bailey was a beloved shop teacher and coach at Manchester Junior Senior High School and had wonderful rapport with all students. Mr. Bailey’s wife, Teresa, established the scholarship in 2014 to support Manchester High School students who are interested in career training in the trades, someone who, like Mr. Bailey, has a strong work ethic, is honest and loyal, interested in problem-solving, pays attention to details, and has concern for others. This scholarship is meant to encourage post-secondary study in a vocational field, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, advanced manufacturing, mechanics, machining, or welding.
