Mr. and Mrs. Merritt both attended Manchester University and majored in education. As a tribute to their lifelong passion for education and Karl's commitment to teaching and coaching, the Merritts created this scholarship to assist students attending Manchester University planning a career in Elementary Education or Secondary Education.
